The novel 'Ek Chihan' (2017-2067) written by Hridayachandra Singh pradhan (1972-2016). ''Ek Chihan'' novel revolves around the joint family of kathmandu the family members are Father Ashtanaran, his wife also known as heart of the family mother latmaya and their children Shivnaran, Punnaran, Harshanaran and nanithanku, the novel delves into their lives. It begins with Ashtanaran falling critically ill and ultmiately passing away. The narrative explores Nanithanku's relationship with Dr.Godatta Prasad, as well as Suraman Shubba's scheming to marry her. Harshanaran's marriage with Putali Tamang and Nanithanku's union with Ramkhelavan are also Pivotal events. Through the struggles of this peasant family, the novel sheds light on the hardships faced by the poor. It's underlying message is to emphasize the significance of labour and it's value in society.
